Jewellery Sizing Guide
Not sure which size to choose? Our jewellery sizing guide makes it easy. Whether you’re shopping for yourself or someone special, learn how to measure accurately at home. We use AU/UK sizing at Alice and Annie.
Rings
We use AU/UK sizing across all our rings. If you’re shopping from outside Australia, you can refer to our international conversion chart to match your local size with our standard. For the most accurate result, we recommend visiting your local jeweller to have your finger professionally measured. However, if that’s not possible, you can measure your size at home in a few simple ways.
One method is to use a ring that already fits well, measure the inside diameter in millimetres and refer to our sizing chart to find the closest match. Alternatively, you can use a strip of paper or string to wrap around the base of your finger to obtain your circumference, mark the point where it overlaps, and measure the length. Use this measurement to determine your size using our chart.
Always consider your knuckle. If your knuckle is noticeably wider than the base of your finger, measure both and choose a size that fits over the knuckle comfortably but doesn’t feel too loose once worn. A snug fit over the knuckle with a secure feel at the base is ideal.
When measuring, be sure to do so at the end of the day when your fingers are at their largest. Avoid measuring when your hands are cold, as this can result in a size that’s too small. Also consider that fingers on your dominant hand may be slightly larger.
If you’re still unsure or need help with sizing, don’t hesitate to get in touch at info@aliceandannie.com.au, we’re always happy to guide you. At Alice & Annie, we want every piece to feel like it was made just for you.
If you find yourself between two sizes, we generally recommend sizing up. It’s more comfortable to wear a slightly looser ring than one that’s too tight, especially on warmer days when your fingers may swell slightly. A ring that’s too small can be difficult to remove and uncomfortable over time.
If you’re purchasing a ring as a gift, try borrowing a ring your recipient wears on the same finger and measure its diameter. If that’s not possible, reaching out to their friends or family for guidance can help.
