Our pieces are made to be worn, loved, and treasured, however it is important to remember they are fine jewellery. With a little care, your solid gold and lab-grown diamond jewellery will remain radiant for years to come.

Gold
Solid gold is beautifully durable and do not tarnish like plated or filled metals, but it benefits from occasional care:
- Deep clean gently with warm, soapy water and pat dry.
- Gently polish your fine jewellery with your Alice & Annie polishing cloth.
- Avoid contact with harsh chemicals and perfumes.
- Store in a soft pouch or fabric-lined box to prevent scratches.
Lab-Grown Diamonds
Lab-grown diamonds have the same brilliance, hardness, and structure as mined diamonds, to take care of them:
- Soak in mild soap water and gently brush clean.
- Dry with a soft, lint-free cloth.
- Store separately to avoid scratching other pieces.

Polishing Cloth & Pouch
Your jewellery comes with a special polishing cloth that’s been pre-treated with polishing agents, and it's best to know:
- Do not wash the cloth, keep it dry to preserve the polishing agents.
- You may notice black marks appearing on the cloth after use. This is completely normal and shows the cloth is working.
- Avoid over polishing. Polish only when needed to preserve the surface and finish.
Additionally, a soft protective pouch is included for safekeeping at home or while travelling. Designed to preserve your jewellery’s beauty, it’s our way of adding a little extra care to every order.

Remove your fine jewellery
We recommend removing your jewellery during the following activities:
- Cleaning – harsh detergents and cleaning agents can wear down metals and damage your jewellery over time.
- Exercise & vigorous physical activity – movement and friction may weaken, scratch or bend finer pieces.
- Sleeping – jewellery can snag on hair or bedding and break or fall off without you noticing.
- Swimming – especially in chlorinated pools, as chemicals can damage the metal and lead to discolouration and prongs to weaken and settings to disintegrate.
On a final note: Apply perfumes, lotions, and cosmetics first before putting on your jewellery to protect the gold and stones.
